Trophies & Awards
In addition to the myriad array of prizes, the Tuna Cub of Tasmania awards the following perpetual trophies.

Amilan Trophy
Awarded to the winning team in a Club TGFA sanctioned contest on a boat under 6 metres LOA.
Bob Dyer Trophy
Awarded for the heaviest Bluefin Tuna captured in Tasmanian waters by a member of a Club affiliated with GFAA.
BP Trophy
Awarded to the winning team in a Club TGFA sanctioned contest on a boat over 6 metres LOA.
Fred Weil Memorial Trophy
Awarded for the heaviest Marlin captured in any waters by a Club member.
Graham Artley Junior Trophy
Awarded for the highest aggregate points scored for all game fish species (excluding sharks) captured during all Club & TGFA sanctioned contests.
Jacob & Canning Trophy
Awarded for the heaviest Marlin captured in Tasmanian waters by a Club member.
John Stanton Trophy
Awarded for the most meritorious capture by a Club member in Tasmanian waters and is traditionally awarded to the highest point score capture fish.
John Telfor Junior Trophy No 1
Awarded for the heaviest fish by a Junior Angler 12-15 years of age in Tasmanian waters.
John Telfor Junior Trophy No 2
Awarded for the heaviest fish by a Junior Angler 12-16 years in Tasmanian waters.
Kay Weil Memorial Trophy
Award for the heaviest shark captured in Tasmanian waters by a Club member.
Keith Jessup Trophy
Awarded for the highest point scoring Bluefin Tuna captured on a boat 6m and under in Tasmanian waters.
Kevin Minehan Memorial Trophy
Awarded for the heaviest Tuna captured by a Female Small Fry Angler in Tasmanian waters each season.
Malcolm Fitzpatrick Trophy
Awarded for the highest Tag & Release point score boat during Club Rallies and Contests each season.
Mark Watson Trophy
Awarded to the Angler who tagged the heaviest Southern Bluefin Tuna over 1.5 metres.
McConnon Cup
Awarded for the highest point scoring Southern Bluefin Tuna captured on a boat over 6m in Tasmanian waters.
Nunkeri Trophy
A light hearted trophy awarded to a surprise recipient each season, judged by the Committee from nominations received for strange or funny happenings throughout the year.
Pauline Grant Trophy
Awarded for the heaviest Tuna captured during the Club Rally on or nearest to Mother’s Day each season.
Peter Hindrum Trophy
Awarded to the angler who catches the first Bluefin Tuna over 50 lbs (22.6796 kg) each season.
Robin Banks Trophy
Awarded for the highest individual Tag & Release point score Adult Angler during Club Rallies and Contests each season.
Robin & Shane Banks Trophy
Awarded to the angler who Tagged & Released the most GFAA eligible shark species (excluding School & Gummy species) in Tasmanian waters each season.
Ross Heddle Trophy
Awarded to the highest Tag & Release point score for a Small Fry Angler for game fish including sharks tagged and released during all Club and TGFA
sanctioned competitions.
Royal Swan Trophy
Awarded for the heaviest Tunny fish (tuna Species) captured in Southern Tasmanian waters by a Club member.
Sandra Harper Trophy
Awarded for the heaviest Game Fish captured in Tasmanian waters by a Lady Club member each season.
Shane Banks Trophy
Awarded for the highest individual Tag & Release Point Score Junior Angler during Club Rallies and Contests each season.
Tama Trophy
Awarded for the heaviest Albacore captured in Tasmanian waters by a Club member.
Tasmanian Government Trophy
Awarded to the winning team outright in an Australian Bluefin Tuna Contest.
Tasmanian Junior Championship Trophy
Awarded to the Junior Angler with the highest aggregate points score competing in a Club TGFA sanctioned competition deemed appropriate by the Committee.
Tasmanian Small Fry Championship Trophy
Awarded to the Small Fry Angler with the highest aggregate points score competing in a Club TGFA sanctioned competition deemed appropriate by the Committee.
Tom Bell Trophy
Awarded for the capture nearest to or greater than a gold button award on a percentage basis.
Trophy Traders Trophy
Awarded for the heaviest Bluefin Tuna caught in a GFAA affiliated contest.
Tuna Club Plaque
Awarded to the skipper of the boat from which the most meritorious capture award (John Stanton Trophy) was made.
Tuna Town Trophy
Awarded for the heaviest Game Fish or Shark captured throughout the season by any TCT Club member.
